Keep up with your MASK

Keep up with your MASK

Mask on my face, hiding the view,
Expressions concealed, feelings subdued.
A facade I wear, so no one can see,
The turmoil inside, known only to me.

With every smile, a little more unknown,
Behind this barrier, I stand alone.
To shield and protect, the mask remains tight,
A necessary armor, throughout the night.

But deep in my soul, a yearning does grow,
For someone to see past this deceptive show.
To unveil the truth, the raw and the real,
And let down the mask, my vulnerability reveal.

Until then, I'll don this guise without fail,
Keeping my secrets hidden, behind this veil.
Hoping one day, in the right circumstance,
I can remove this mask, and embrace the chance.

Sometimes you take a shot. Sometimes it doesn’t work. In the end its ok cause you tried . Just feeling odd when you fail at any relationship. You open up and sometimes that other person doesn’t love how you love. It isn’t for YOU. Growth is knowing yourself and seeing your own value.

Some use the mask to survive. Some use it and lie.

Let them hide behind it. Whatever you do. Keep yours on.

Peace & Love
